Casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corp announced on Friday that the firm’s executive vice president, Ira H. Raphaelson, will be leaving the company in August.
Mr Raphaelson also serves as global general counsel and secretary for Las Vegas Sands. As global general counsel, Mr Raphaelson oversees the company’s legal affairs around the world.
Las Vegas Sands developed and operates major casinos in the United States, Macau and Singapore.
Las Vegas Sands said it received a written notice from Mr Raphaelson on June 22, informing that he would cease to serve in all of his positions, effective August 21, 2016.
“Mr Raphaelson and the company are party to an employment agreement, dated as of February 18, 2016, which will terminate effective August 21, 2016 in connection with Mr Raphaelson’s departure from the company,” said Las Vegas Sands in a filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
“Certain provisions of Mr Raphaelson’s employment agreement by their terms survive the termination of the agreement,” the firm added.
Mr Raphaelson joined Las Vegas Sands in November 2011 after having served the previous six years as vice president and general counsel at U.S.-based casino equipment and lottery services firm Scientific Games Corp.
