The Gaming Standards Association (GSA) is marking 10 years of partnership and research with Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI), a tertiary-education provider (pictured) in that casino city.
In a written announcement issued on Thursday, GSA President Peter DeRaedt said the tie had helped “educate young people about the technical issues that support the gaming business”.
GSA is a specialist technical advisor regarding electronic gaming machine technology and digital infrastructure for the casino and betting industries. MPI’s role ecompasses offering degree-level education in a wide range of subjects including gaming and recreation management, and technology-related ones.
GSA recently set up a Tokyo office to offer advisory services to Japan’s fledgling casino industry. The Association also has representation in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States, and in Malta, in the European Union.
Board members of GSA are drawn from across the industry, and include chairman Roman Czubak, head of sales in Central and Eastern Europe for Austria-based gaming machine supplier Novomatic AG.
