U.S.-based casino operator and hospitality group Hard Rock International Inc has appointed Danielle Babilino (pictured) as senior vice president of global sales and marketing for its Hard Rock hotels and casinos business.
Ms Babilino “will have overall responsibility for the Hard Rock hotel sales division, as it supports the expanding global portfolio of Hard Rock hotels and casinos,” the firm said in a Thursday press release.
She will be based in Hollywood, Florida, at the corporate offices of Hard Rock International.
Ms Babilino will report to Hard Rock International chief operating officer Jon Lucas. In her new role, she will manage all hotel sales and marketing incentives, sales training, customer events, sales programme implementation, and the recruitment and retention of sales professionals.
“An aggressive, results-focused sales division is critical to the future success of the expanding Hard Rock brand, especially as we continue to add hotels and casinos throughout the United States and around the world,” Mr Lucas said in comments included in Thursday’s release. “We are confident Danielle Babilino will drive Hard Rock sales beyond our greatest goals,” he added.
Ms Babilino is described as having nearly 20 years of experience in executive sales and business development. She most recently was executive vice president of sales and marketing for Alon Las Vegas. Australian casino operator Crown Resorts Ltd led the proposed casino hotel development for the Las Vegas Strip, in Nevada; but the firm eventually decided last year not to move ahead with the scheme.
From 2008 through 2015, Ms Babilino was senior vice president of sales for Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, two properties under Wynn Resorts Ltd. Her work experience also includes stints at Fontainebleau Miami Beach and its sister development in Las Vegas, and at casino resort Mandalay Bay, also in Las Vegas.
