Japan Cash Machine Co Ltd, also known as JCM Global, announced on Monday it has an agreement to distribute in Asia Pacific, North America and Latin America a micro-sized device and system for player-ticket redemption and player-ticket issuing at gaming tables.
The so-called TITA system is from German firm CountR GmbH.
According to the JCM statement, CountR’s system enables ticket-in-ticket-out (TITO) transactions at a table game, whereby players have the option of being issued with a TITO voucher in exchange for their gaming chips. Players can redeem such a TITO slip at any redemption kiosks, or move between table games and slot games with their TITO ticket.
CountR’s TITA system is said to be capable of accepting – and recording for accounting purposes – TITO tickets and TITO promotional vouchers, according to the Monday release. The technology is also said to support point-of-sale transactions at gaming tables, whereby players can withdraw funds directly from their account “without leaving the table”.
“CountR’s TITA system is a unique solution that utilises JCM’s technology and intellectual property, creating new buy-in methods for table games, increasing player convenience, and making table transactions more efficient,” said JCM senior vice-president of sales, marketing and operations Dave Kubajak in prepared remarks contained in the Monday release.
JCM’s MRX bill validator – described as being able to read two banknotes per second – is said also to be able to work in tandem with CountR’s TITA system for tableside buy ins involving cash. The MRX bill validator can also be upgraded to include JCM’s Intelligent Cash Box (ICB) system, a product that is said to simplify the process of cash box collection and to allow a gaming venue’s finance team and executive management to access essential cash box data securely.
“CountR TITA gives cash access to patrons, keeps chip inventory at the table, and brings complete transactional security and traceability. With the unrivalled system connectivity of CountR, TITA integration is a natural next step to TITO operations,” said CountR’s vice president of global sales Virginie Bellaton, in prepared remarks included in the Monday release.
JCM specialises in cash-handling equipment and transactions management technology.
