Macau-based junket operator Meg-Star International has plans to expand its VIP gaming business in Macau and overseas next year, a company spokesperson told GGRAsia. The gaming promoter opened on Friday its latest VIP gaming club at Wynn Macau casino hotel.
The newly launched VIP gaming club at Wynn Macau, branded “Meg-Star Lian Sheng VIP Club” (pictured), has five VIP gaming rooms and a total of nine gaming tables, the junket firm told GGRAsia. According to Meg-Star’s Friday press release, the company now operates a total of five VIP gaming clubs in Macau.
“The opening of Meg-Star Lian Sheng VIP Club is a brand new milestone for the company’s business development. Our team has always been respectful of customers and [is] convinced that the new VIP club [at Wynn Macau] will continue our spirit to provide memorable and premium service for our customers,” said Thomas Pang, chief executive of Meg-Star, in a statement included in the release.
Aside from VIP gaming and the “high-end travel business”, Meg-Star also has investments in food and beverage and wine distribution. The firm is also engaged in the VIP gaming business in Singapore, South Korea, Australia, the United States and the Philippines, according to Friday’s release.
Macau market rival junket firm David Group has also talked about expanding its business domestically and overseas. The group has launched three new-to-market VIP gaming facilities in the Macau market this year, respectively, at Studio City, Macau Roosevelt Hotel and Galaxy Macau casino resort.
