The management of sales for Australia-based slot maker Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd in Europe will now be taken over by Austria-based gaming equipment maker Novomatic AG, the latter company said in a press release on Friday. Novomatic’s global sales division will be responsible for Ainsworth Game’s European sales, according to the release.
Ainsworth Game had said in a June 2016 filing that its shareholders had approved the sale of a majority stake in the business – which was started by Len Ainsworth – to Novomatic. Danny Gladstone, chief executive of Ainsworth Game, said in a recent interview with GGRAsia that the integration process between the two firms was due to be completed by October this year.
According to Friday’s release, Sonya Nikolova will oversee sales for Ainsworth in Europe. She will be responsible for the Ainsworth brand introduction, product positioning and direct sales to European gaming operators, said Novomatic.
“I am committed to enforcing my deep industry expertise and knowledge to the development and popularisation of the Ainsworth brand in Europe, as well as to collaborate intensively with my colleagues to improve customer support and product competitiveness,” said Ms Nikolova in a statement included in the release.
Ms Nikolova will report to Lawrence Levy, who was promoted in February to vice president of global sales at Novomatic.
