Electronic table game (ETG) supplier Spintec d.o.o. plans significant marketing for its Aura Multigame amphitheatre product in the rapidly-growing Asian markets this year. The technology is a highlight of the firm’s display at Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2019 in Macau.
The amphitheatre and a blackjack product were “the main focus this year” in Asia-Pacific, said Primoz Krsevan (pictured), regional sales director of Spintec, in comments to GGRAsia.
In a press statement released ahead of the trade show, the Slovenian firm has noted that its Aura gaming terminals were ideal for what it termed “amphitheatre” setups – sometimes also referred to in the industry as “stadium” configurations – whereby multiple gaming terminals can be arranged – typically in a horseshoe or amphitheatre pattern – on the casino floor.
The firm had also noted that a feature of the Aura Multigame product was it being “fully customisable” depending on each gaming operator’s need, to help to promote “longer gaming sessions” by players.
That included offering players smart-looking chairs in wood and leather, that also offered “deep comfort” Mr Krsevan told us.
“We don’t sell it without the chair, because the chair is especially designed for the terminals,” Mr Krsevan said.
Spintec had also given the platform a screen big enough “to play up to 16 games” he added. “We also have space for [player] bags and drinks.”
As well as support for the casino venues with all the games, the product can be configured either for use with a live dealer, or what the regional sales boss referred to as “virtual” dealers.
Spintec has already had its first installation of the Aura Multigame amphitheatre in a Macau casino, and had “good” feedback from the market on the product, Mr Krsevan noted.
Spintec aims to see Aura multigame amphitheatre installed “all over Asia”, Mr Krsevan remarked to us. This key targets for Asia this year were Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
“In Cambodia – since we’re new to the market – the main focus is on the roulette… roulette is a very popular game. So we start with roulette, and then of course we go to baccarat [machines], and something else.” Mr Krsevan said, referring first to a table game traditionally popular in Indochina, a region influenced by French culture.
“The same applies to Vietnam. In Vietnam, we have already put some machines last year. We’re going to add multi-games there as well. But in every new market that we enter, the first thing is the roulette,” he added.
Spintec noted previously that it had a “majority share” of the automated roulette installations in the Macau casino market, via its “Karma Roulette” product range. It was important to have a diverse portfolio of ETGs in order to compete in Macau’s relatively saturated and competitive market, the sales boss told us at the latest Macau trade show.
“Finally this year we’re having more games. We’re coming to a position where we have the full portfolio of all the ETG games, and this way we can make sure that we can compete with the big guys,” the Spintec regional sales director told us.
