The board of directors of the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) has elected a new slate of officers, the group announced on Wednesday. Tom Nieman (pictured), vice president of worldwide marketing at JCM Global, was elected president for a two-year term.
Previously AGEM’s treasurer, Mr Nieman replaces Thomas Jingoli – executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Konami Gaming Inc – as president, while Mr Jingoli moves to the treasurer position for a one-year term.
The majority of the current officers were re-appointed to their posts for one-year terms. Dan Savage was re-elected as first vice president of AGEM. He is chief administration officer of U.S.-based gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games Corp.
David Lucchese, executive vice president for games at Everi Holdings Inc – formerly Global Cash Access Holdings Inc – was selected for a new term as second vice president at AGEM. Everi is a casino gaming equipment and payment technology provider.
Other re-elected officers included: secretary – Mark Dunn (executive vice president and general counsel at Aristocrat Leisure Ltd); and vice president of government relations – Steven DiMasi (vice president of global government relations at IGT Plc).
The election included the appointment of two co-general counsels. They are Harper Ko, deputy general counsel for gaming at Scientific Games; and Daron Dorsey, general counsel for North American operations at Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd.
AGEM is a non-profit international trade association representing manufacturers and suppliers of products and services for the gaming industry. Its current membership includes 157 companies based in 23 countries. Two technology firms from Taiwan were among 11 new members announced by AGEM in December.
