Casino currency supplier Gaming Partners International Corp (GPI) has received an US$7.2-million order to supply casino currency to a casino in Macau. The Nasdaq-listed company did not disclose the name of the casino.
The order includes the company’s Bourgogne et Grasset brand of plaques as well as the newly released V-Series American-style chips, GPI said in a filing.
The V-Series American-style chips is composed of a new injection material formula “that is both stronger and more durable”. “The line has been designed to offer an unprecedented variety of configurations providing operators more currency options,” describes the company.
GPI began supplying casino tokens to casinos in Macau four decades ago. It counts all the city’s six casino operators among its clients.
GPI is based in Las Vegas, and has a manufacturing unit in Beaune, France. The company also has a sales office in Macau, established in December 2010.
