U.S.-based gaming supplier International Game Technology announced on Thursday an exclusive distribution deal for South Korea with Matsui Gaming Machine Co Ltd, a Japan-based gaming chip and casino equipment supplier.
The deal was finalised at Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia, which ended on Thursday in Macau, U.S.-listed IGT said in a statement.
The company said this was part of a commitment to expand its presence globally.
Matsui was chosen by IGT as the exclusive distributor for electronic gaming machines in South Korea.
“We are focused on long-term growth in Asia, and the partnership with Matsui is an incredible opportunity for us to grow our brand and show our strength in this emerging marketplace,” Sabby Gill, IGT senior vice president of international sales, said in a statement.
Matsui has head offices in Tokyo, and operations and manufacturing facilities in Seoul. The company also has manufacturing facilities in Japan and sales offices in Manchester, Moscow, Las Vegas and Macau.
