Casino electronic table games specialist Interblock DD has hired two specialists for its Asia-Pacific team, the firm announced. Brett Surenne is now Interblock’s service manager for the Asia-Pacific region and Steve Yates has been named sales manager for the New South Wales territory, in Australia.
“Bringing high profile professionals of Brett’s and Steve’s caliber to Interblock underscores our message that we are very serious about expanding our footprint and business opportunities throughout the Asia-Pacific region,” said in a statement Cameron Louis, Interblock’s senior vice president for Asia-Pacific.
Mr Surenne was most recently a senior leader of the systems support team of gaming equipment supplier IGT, servicing all venues within Australia. Previously, he held service management roles at bill validator specialist Cashcode Co and at Australia-based slot machine maker Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd.
Mr Yates was most recently involved in project management, training and venue support in systems for IGT.
Established in 1989, Interblock specialises in fully- and semi-automated electronic table games and video gaming machines for casinos, gaming arcades and gambling halls.
In Asia, the company has a strong presence in Vietnam and the Philippines, and plans to increase its footprint in other regional jurisdictions, Mr Louis told GGRAsia in May.
