U.S.-listed casino supplier International Game Technology Plc has been selected to provide gaming systems technology to casino resort Wynn Palace (pictured), a property under construction in Macau’s Cotai district.
IGT announced on Tuesday it had signed a deal with Wynn Resorts Ltd – the parent company of the new property’s developer Wynn Macau Ltd – to install “a comprehensive suite of IGT systems applications” at the property upon its completion.
The agreement also includes the supply of systems to the Wynn Las Vegas casino hotel in Nevada, United States, and to Wynn Everett, a project Wynn Resorts is developing in the U.S. state of Massachusetts.
No financial details of the agreement were disclosed.
“IGT systems are designed to optimise floor efficiency and drive player engagement, and Wynn Resorts can leverage our unique applications to provide guests with unparalleled gaming experiences and personalised service,” Renato Ascoli, IGT’s chief executive for North America gaming and interactive, was quoted as saying in a press release.
Wynn Palace is scheduled to open on March 25, 2016. The US$4.1-billion project will include a 1,700-room hotel, a large lake with fountain display and a gondola ride around the grounds, meeting space, a casino, a spa, shops, and food and beverage outlets.
