Casino group Caesars Entertainment Corp on Tuesday announced that it has appointed Les Ottolenghi (pictured) as executive vice president and chief information officer.
“Mr Ottolenghi will be responsible for shaping and implementing Caesars’ technology agenda across all company platforms,” the casino firm said in a press release. He will report directly to Caesars’ chief executive Mark Frissora.
“Les is a proven leader in the gaming and hospitality sectors who has a proven ability to create and implement transformative initiatives,” Mr Frissora said in a statement. “I am confident that Les’ skills will benefit our customers and our company as we ensure our IT capabilities exceed our business needs.”
Mr Ottolenghi joins Caesars from Las Vegas Sands Corp, where he served as the chief information and innovation officer. He previously held senior level IT positions with global hospitality brands Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Holiday Inn Worldwide.
He also founded and served as chief executive of Plat4m Technologies and Intent Media Works.
“Having the opportunity to shape and implement the IT vision for a strong global brand such as Caesars is an exciting opportunity,” said Mr Ottolenghi. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to lead the IT strategy of this company at such a pivotal moment in its history,” he added.
U.S.-based Caesars has plans to expand in Asia. The firm says it is a partner in a consortium on a casino project at Incheon in South Korea.
