Casino gross gaming revenue (GGR) in Macau declined by 9.6 percent year-on-year in May, marking 24 consecutive months of declines, official data show.
Judged on a month-to-month basis, casino GGR increased by 6.0 percent.
May’s casino GGR stood at approximately MOP18.39 billion (US$2.3 billion).
The figures were given on Wednesday by the city’s casino regulator, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, also known by its Portuguese acronym DICJ.
The May result brings the accumulated casino GGR for the first five months of the calendar year to MOP91.91 billion, a decline of 11.9 percent judged year-on-year.
