Japanese casino supplier Sega Sammy Creation Inc said it has installed its ‘Exciting Baccarat’ electronic gaming machine (pictured) at casino resort Galaxy Macau, a property developed and operated by Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. The installation includes 48 player terminals, Sega Sammy said in a press release on Tuesday.
Exciting Baccarat is fully automated. Along with a standard baccarat game, it offers a side bet feature that allows players to achieve higher payouts, according to Sega Sammy Creation. It also includes a “squeeze effect”, aiming to replicate the card ‘squeezing’ by casino players that usually takes place at live baccarat gaming tables in Asia.
Players can select their electronic dealer from a group of five ladies. The game also provides historic data on the latest results, as many Asian players like to chase patterns in baccarat.
Exciting Baccarat is the second product release by Sega Sammy Creation, following ‘Sic Bo Bonus Jackpot’. The Sic Bo Bonus Jackpot cabinet is already available in some Cotai properties.
Sega Sammy Creation was established in June 2013, as part of the Sega Sammy Group. The group’s interests include the manufacture of pachinko and pachislot machines for the Japan market, the production of digital home entertainment products and toys for markets worldwide, and the development and operation of theme parks and resorts.
Sega Sammy Creation’s vice president for business development, Takashi Maekawa, said in a recent interview with GGRAsia that 2016 has been a very positive year for the company. The firm expanded its footprint in Macau and is currently eyeing the Philippines market, said Mr Maekawa.
