A former non-executive director of Australian slot machine maker Aristocrat Leisure Ltd has joined the board of Australian casino investor Echo Entertainment Group Ltd, operator of The Star (pictured) in Sydney.
Sally Pitkin, previously a partner at the commercial law firm Clayton Utz, is also a current member of the external advisory board of the Australian Securities and Investment Commission.
She is also on the board of the Australian Securities Exchange-listed firms Super Retail Group Ltd and leisurewear brand Billabong International Ltd.
“Sally’s extensive corporate experience… will make her an invaluable and complementary addition to the Echo board,” said Echo’s chairman John O’Neill in a statement.
Echo also announced on Thursday, following its annual general meeting, that Anne Brennan, a non-executive director and deputy chair of the firm, was stepping down after nearly three years of service, which included a role as head of the audit committee.
