The recently-opened Paradise City casino resort – a venue at Incheon, near South Korea’s main airport and the national capital Seoul – will host the Asian Poker Tour’s (APT) second event for the year in that country.
The APT Korea Incheon 2017 will take place from August 12 to 20, the organisers said in a press release.
The nine-day tournament will feature a Main Event buy-in of KRW1.1 million (US$985). Other events like the Head Hunter, Monster Stack, No Limit Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha, Deep Stack Turbos, High Rollers, Super Deep Stack and a PLO High Rollers will also be featured during the poker tournament.
“I am pleased to have APT Korea to be held at Paradise City Incheon,” said Dom Choi, the director that oversees the poker room at Paradise City, in a statement. “Players will be wowed by Paradise City’s ambiance and with APT’s expertise in organising fun and competitive poker tournaments at a great value,” he added.
Paradise City (pictured) is a venture between foreigner-only casino operator Paradise Co Ltd and Japanese pachinko operator Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.
The APT is due to hold an event in Macau soon, at the Macau Billionaire Poker’s room at Casino Babylon, in the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. The APT Macau 2017 – which still needs approval from the local regulator, according to APT’s official website – will run for nine days starting on June 14.
