TransAct Technologies Inc, a specialist in ticket printing and customer reward technology for service industries including the casino sector, announced on Monday that it had completed the first U.S. commercial casino deployment of its new Epicentral SE product.
The company didn’t name the casino venue but said its product had been connected to an existing slot machine management system and to TransAct Epic 950 printers in use at the property.
Epicentral SE is an update of TransAct’s Epicentral software product that can direct the delivery – live on the casino floor to slot machines used by players – of customer offers, including free play vouchers.
“The ability to print playable vouchers, redeemable at the game, is an unrivalled feature of our Epicentral SE system, an easy-to-implement add-on to slot management systems that transforms the bonus environment on casino floors,” said Bart Shuldman, chairman and chief executive of TransAct, in a prepared statement accompanying the installation announcement.
“In what has become a highly competitive industry environment, TransAct believes that the real-time delivery of bonuses via a printed voucher is a differentiated way for operators to drive increased visitation and play among their patrons,” Mr Shuldman added.
