Casino cash handling and transaction technology specialist SuzoHapp Group has announced a new partnership with Nanoptix Inc, involving the global distribution of all the printer products of the latter company.
Nanoptix designs and manufactures thermal printers for use at point of sale, and in the lottery, gaming and kiosk markets. The company was founded in 1996 and is based at Dieppe, in New Brunswick, Canada.
SuzoHapp said in a Monday release that the partnership reflected “a new strategic direction” for the company, strengthening its “commitment to offer the most technologically-advanced printing solutions”.
“Nanoptix is a progressive and innovative manufacturer and represents the future of ticket printing technology,” said Goran Sovilj, SuzoHapp’s vice president of sales gaming for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, in a prepared statement.
“We are happy to provide our customers with the most current technology available in the marketplace and deliver quality and long-term value,” he added.
Commenting on the partnership, Daniel Vienneau, president and chief executive of Nanoptix, said: “We were looking for an industry leader with a strong distribution network and outstanding service capability in the global gaming market. We believe that SuzoHapp is the ideal partner for us and we are excited by the opportunity to work with them.”
Nanoptix previously had a business relationship with JCM American Corp, a supplier of cash transaction technologies for the gaming industry. JCM entered into a partnership with Nanoptix in 2011, marketing and selling Nanoptix products under the JCM portfolio. In 2012, JCM had acquired a 49-percent stake in Nanoptix, which JCM sold in August 2015.
