U.S.-based gaming supplier Aristocrat Technologies Inc, part of Australia-based Aristocrat Leisure Ltd, said on Thursday it has completed the acquisition of the “complete source code and hardware design” for a promotional kiosk developed by Phi Gaming LLC. The cost of acquisition was not disclosed in the release.
Phi Gaming is a developer of systems and promotional kiosks, and provides a proprietary cloud-based casino management system platform, according to its corporate website.
In Thursday’s release, Aristocrat Technologies said it has also entered into a development agreement with Phi Gaming “to further acceleration” of Aristocrat’s Oasis 360 loyalty kiosk. “The agreement extends Aristocrat’s digital content and advanced marketing solutions within its multiple award-winning Oasis 360 casino management system portfolio,” said the company.
“Phi Gaming’s modern kiosk design is best-of-breed, and we are excited to add their kiosk solution to the Oasis 360 suite of products,” said Aristocrat Technologies’ vice president of system sales, Clark Warren, in a prepared statement.
“This acquisition reflects an important milestone in Aristocrat’s commitment to provide an end-to-end solution for our customers,” he added.
Commenting on the deal, Phi Gaming’s president and chief executive Diallo Gordon said: “We are grateful to Aristocrat and will deliver simple, useful, and amazing products to the Oasis 360 portfolio.”
In November, Aristocrat Leisure reported net profit after tax of AUD495.1 million (US$375.5 million) for the fiscal year ending September 30, up 41.3 percent year-on-year. The parent firm also announced a US$990-million cash acquisition of social casino brand Big Fish Games Inc, a U.S.-based, wholly-owned unit of horse racetrack operator Churchill Downs Inc.
