Originals from Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci will be making their Southeast Asian debut at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands casino resort in November.
The exhibition ‘Da Vinci: Shaping the Future’ will be held at the property’s ArtScience Museum from November 15 to May 2015. It will be shown only in Singapore, according to a press release.
Marina Bay Sands is owned and operated by Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of U.S.-based casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corp.
The exhibition presents 26 original pages of the Codex Atlanticus, da Vinci’s largest notebook, which collects some of his most important drawings and writings.
The pages are travelling to Singapore from Biblioteca Ambrosiana, an historic library-cum-museum located in Milan, Italy. They will be complemented by paintings, reproductions of additional parts of the codex, video projections, models of da Vinci’s inventions and interactive exhibits.
The press release did not mention the cost of the exhibition.
