Australian maker of slot machines Aristocrat Leisure Ltd says it has installed its newest linked slot game, “Gold Stacks 88” (pictured), across the Macau market. The four-level linked progressive product has been placed in a number of venues, “and players and operators alike are responding positively to the game,” said the company in a press release on Monday.
The company did not specify in the written announcement the properties involved or when it had installed the new game.
“Our customers have reported that their players are loving Gold Stacks 88. The powerful combination of graphics, mechanics, and game play is proving a hit with players,” said Chris Rowe, the firm’s managing director for Asia Pacific, in a prepared statement.
“We are excited that Gold Stacks 88 has been well received. The product adds to the strong portfolio of linked progressives … that we are able to offer across Asia Pacific,” he added.
Gold Stacks 88 is an Xtra Reel Power game and contains animated graphics and features such as “coinciding wins, stretch wilds, and the popular mechanics of Choose Your Volatility and Pick-Em Jackpot,” according to the release.
Mr Rowe told GGRAsia in an interview in November that the Gold Stacks 88 game had been launched that year in the United States. It draws on famous graphical characters from Aristocrat’s catalogue of games “and makes them babies, which makes them playful and fun to interact with,” the executive explained at the time.
The slot machine maker said in March it had set up a limited-liability company to handle its business in Macau. The move aimed to comply with a government proposal requiring makers of gaming equipment to operate through a limited liability company registered in the city, rather than through a branch of a foreign-owned company.
