Gaming-testing specialist and technical consultancy Gaming Laboratories International LLC (GLI) says it has acquired NMi Metrology and Gaming Ltd, also known as NMi Gaming. The latter company has more than 40 years of experience in the gaming industry and offers a range of compliance testing and auditing services, according to a Wednesday press release from GLI.
The vendor was identified as NMi Certin, BV and related parties. The total consideration of the acquisition was not disclosed.
NMi Gaming has offices in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Canada. GLI said the acquired company would continue to operate under the NMi Gaming brand name “for the foreseeable future”.
“Customers can expect a ‘business-as-usual’ approach while also being able to leverage GLI’s global presence to grow and enhance NMi Gaming’s services,” the firm said in the release.
GLI president and chief executive, James Maida, was quoted as saying that the acquisition was beneficial for NMi Gaming and GLI.
“Over the last two years, the GLI group has completed multiple strategic acquisitions, such as Bulletproof, Kobetron Inc and Gaming Informatics LLC, which further enhance our business offerings and increase the level of customer service that the GLI group provides to our gaming clients globally,” said Mr Maida in a prepared statement.
He added: “With the acquisition of NMi Gaming, we have created synergies that are beneficial to both NMi and GLI clients and provides additional bandwidth for even greater customer service.”
NMi Gaming was founded after the privatisation of the Dutch Legal Metrology Service in 1989. In recent years, NMi Gaming has expanded in the areas of iGaming, land-based certification and auditing, retaining a strong presence in several European markets, according to Wednesday’s release.
Commenting on the deal, Andrew Rosewarne, a director at NMi Gaming, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for our customers, as this allows us to leverage GLI’s worldwide coverage while retaining the dynamism of our independent operations.”
