Nevada-based casino equipment company International Game Technology (IGT) will install systems in 50 slot halls operated by Latvia’s DLV, connecting approximately 1,000 machines in locations throughout the country over the next two years.
DLV is a gaming software and casino equipment manufacturer. It also operates 50 slot halls in Latvia, most of them located in the capital city, Riga.
With the first installations scheduled for this month, DLV plans to utilise IGT’s Casinolink, Medialink and EZ Pay systems “to maximise efficiency and player engagement”, IGT said in a statement. IGT will also introduce tits Xtra Credit systems module to the European market, which it expectes “to enable easy deployment of promotional awards while increasing play time”.
“This significant systems installation throughout multiple DLV properties in Latvia provides an excellent example of IGT’s position as a global leader in wide-area casino management systems deployments,” Ian Baynes, IGT’s regional vice president for Europe, Middle East & Africa, said in the statement.
