Malaysian lottery operator Magnum Corp Sdn Bhd has signed an extension of its agreement with Greek gaming supplier Intralot SA, for a further seven years with an option of extending it for another two years.
The agreement includes the procurement, installation and support of an advanced, integrated lottery system to support up to 2,450 gaming terminals, among other items, according to a statement from Intralot. The process will start immediately and operations are estimated to begin in mid-2015.
The Greek company will also provide service functions, such as customer and marketing support, and all the necessary services for the operation and maintenance of the system during the time of the agreement.
“This is another leap forward towards reinforcing Intralot’s presence in the region for years to come,” the company’s chief operating officer, Ioannis Pantoleon, said in the statement.
Intralot operates in 57 jurisdictions and recorded revenues of EUR1.54 billion (US$2.1 billion) for 2013.
