Steve Sutherland has been appointed president and chief executive of Konami Gaming Inc, the firm announced in a Wednesday release. The company is a U.S.-based maker of slot machines and casino management systems for the global gaming market.
Satoshi Sakamoto, his predecessor in the two posts, has become a senior executive director of Konami Gaming’s parent company, Konami Holdings Corp, a Japanese-based conglomerate.
Mr Sutherland (pictured) is a long-time executive of Konami Gaming, having joined the company in 2000 as senior vice president for sales.
On Wednesday, Konami Gaming announced other executive promotions. Company veteran Thomas Jingoli was elevated to executive vice president and chief commercial officer; and Kazuya Kozuki moved up to executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Thomas Soukup, also a long-serving executive of Konami Gaming, was named senior vice president and chief systems product officer: Yuji Taniguchi was promoted to senior vice president and chief games product and strategy officer.
“These appointments reflect a continued strengthening of our leadership team as we pursue the achievement of key strategic and operational objectives across the domestic and international markets we serve,” Mr Sutherland was quoted as saying in Wednesday’s release.
