Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd, promoter of Jeju Dream Tower (pictured in file photo), a facility with foreigner-only casino on South Korea’s holiday island of Jeju, saw its full-year 2024 operating income turn to black as the firm’s sales grew by 50.4 percent year-on-year.
That is according to Lotte Tour’s filing lodged with the Korea Exchange on Thursday. The filing contains Lotte Tour’s unaudited financial highlights covering the 2024 fiscal year.
Lotte Tour saw its operating income reach KRW39.21 billion (US$27.2 million), compared with a KRW60.61-billion operating loss in the previous fiscal year.
Sales for 2024 – covering casino, hotel and travel businesses – reached KRW471.47 billion, a 50.4-percent increase from 2023, according to the filing.
Lotte Tour posted a net loss of about KRW114.35 billion for full-year 2024, an improvement on the KRW202.33-billion loss in the previous year.
The firm saw its full-year 2024 casino net revenue rise 93.3 percent year-on-year to KRW294.65 billion, according to a filing published in January.
