Southeast Asia a ‘key expansion area’ for Zitro: Bill Stefanakis

Gaming supplier Zitro International has a growing presence in Asia, and the group’s new “Concept” cabinet might help the firm expand further across the region, says Bill Stefanakis (pictured), a director of key accounts at Zitro.

“It’s important to note that Zitro is a relatively young company, our first video slots were launched in 2017,” stated Mr Stefanakis.

“Our primary focus has been Latin America and Europe, and we’ve recently expanded into the U.S. and Asian markets,” he added in written comments to GGRAsia.

The Philippines is described as one of the fastest and biggest expanding gaming markets in Asia, and Zitro’s products have been installed at some of Manila’s largest casino resorts

“The Philippines is a standout market. Zitro’s games are among the top performers in casinos across Entertainment City,” observed Mr Stefanakis.

The brand’s games “are already performing well in Laos, with more placements on the horizon,” he added.

“Southeast Asia is a key expansion area, we are actively exploring new opportunities in these markets,” stated the executive.

Mr Stefanakis said Zitro’s focus was now on “solidifying” its presence in the Philippines, “where results have been strong and the outlook is promising”.

The brand said it would launch a “new cabinet line and operating system compliant” with the technical standards for electronic gaming machines 1.1, issued by the country’s gaming regulator, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor).

Zitro will also introduce game themes “tailored to Asian player preferences,” remarked Mr Stefanakis.

He added: “We are also expanding the Manila-based team, and I’ll be drawing on my regional experience to support and accelerate our growth efforts.”

At the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2025, a major casino industry trade show and conference that took place in Macau in early May, Zitro showcased its “Concept” cabinet line, as well as a “portfolio of new, tailor-made game titles designed specifically for the Asian gaming market”.

The Concept range features three cabinets: Concept Prime, with a 55-inch screen; Concept Prime-J, with a 55-inch curved screen; and Concept Deluxe, with three 32-inch screens.

According to Zitro, the Concept portfolio features its “exclusive Magic Lighting”, said to offer a “light show synchronising with the game, creating an immersive atmosphere on the gaming floor”.

The new cabinets are also said to offer “augmented gameplay”, which the brand says is thanks to larger screens, “which extend to the XXL deck screen and topper”.

Some of Zitro’s highlighted games include “Legendary Sword”, “Triple Charm Journey”, “Fairyland Quest”, “King Fu Frog”, “Merging Fu Pots”, “Lucky Vault”, and “Cash Totems”.

“All games feature rich narratives, exciting gameplay, and premium multimedia to drive player engagement,” noted the company.
