Electronic table game (ETG) supplier Interblock dd is aiming to help casino operators capture fresh segments of players via its latest product line, “AMUSE”.
Vincent Tang (pictured), the group’s vice president of sales for the Asia Pacific region, says AMUSE is a “new sector” product range that combines elements of electronic table game (ETG) play, slot play and even live table play, and packages it with an arcade-game feel in terms of presentation.
AMUSE is “not the traditional, hardcore gaming machine,” he told GGRAsia in an interview.
“We combine the table game, and the slot game elements with free games, free spins and trigger jackpot,” and “trigger multiplier, into one” product, Mr Tang explained.
“There is still a huge portion of customers that are out there” in a casino resort, that are not necessarily gambling, but might be “watching concerts, shopping, enjoying other entertainment,” he noted.
“We want these customers to come in” to the casino “and enjoy” the experience. “This is why AMUSE is coming” the the market, Mr Tang added.
Interblock’s AMUSE line was showcased at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2025 held in Macau in May.
The product range is said to merge “arcade-inspired” gameplay with random number generator (RNG)-based wagering, according to Interblock’s corporate materials. AMUSE debuted at the 2024 edition of G2E in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States.
The titles under the AMUSE category on display at G2E Asia 2025 included “Free Fall Roulette”, “Dragon Roulette” (also pictured, left), “Roulette Xplosion” and “Frenzy Roulette”.
The line is a focus for Interblock’s marketing effort for the remainder of this year. It is designed to capture the interest of those looking for a casual gaming experience on the casino floor, according to Mr Tang.
Since last year, Interblock has been gathering gaming regulators’ feedback and casino operators’ opinions about the AMUSE range, said the sales executive.
“We received very positive information from the Philippines, from Macau and Singapore. Basically… every operator wants to look for some new elements to attract new markets [of players],” Mr Tang remarked.
Appealing to younger players
During G2E Asia 2025, Interblock also showcased its “Mystery Rings Progressive Jackpot”, a four-tiered jackpot system with “Bronze”, “Silver”, “Gold” and “Platinum” levels, that the company says is compatible with its ETG product range.
Once this jackpot setup is installed on an Interblock ETG product, any player of the main game – who has wagered a predetermined minimum amount – is included in the jackpot pool, Mr Tang explained.
Mystery Rings Progressive Jackpot is currently live in multiple gaming juristions in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Within the Asia region, the jackpot system has been available in Vietnam and Cambodia since last year, the Interblock sales executive further noted.
The design rationale of the jackpot system for ETG play is to bridge “the gap” between the preferences of traditional casino players and game-style preferences of younger people. The latter typically like to see “more free game elements” or novelty elements to what would otherwise be classic table game play, suggested Mr Tang.
“Our group [global] CEO John Connelly has a really strong vision… that table games should have more elements,” than they typically do, Mr Tang said.
“A lot of traditional players still go for a basic roulette, or basic sic bo game.” That is a “very important customer segment that we’re taking care of,” added the Interblock spokesman.
Nonethelesss, “youngsters… don’t want to be bored, waiting for one single [game] result,” he noted.
Mr Tang also explained: “The mystery jackpot…is not created only for our UC [Universal Cabinets]. We have our own jackpot controller connecting all our Interblock products – whether it’s from the stadium [configuration], or whether it is from the roulette machine you are playing. Players have the flexibility to create the jackpot.”
Interblock’s Universal Cabinet product line features the electronic table games “SicBo”, “Roulette”, “Baccarat”, “Blackjack X2”, and the lucky-wheel game “MegaMania”.
The standalone UC SicBo, in particular, is performing at an “outstanding” level in Asia, Mr Tang said. There were “over 300” active units of UC SicBo installed across Macau and Singapore, according to an Interblock press release issued on May 6, shortly before G2E Asia 2025.
UC SicBo is said to feature fully-automated dice recognition, and can generate real-time statistical analysis of the gameplay, as well as predictive betting trends.
The appeal of UC SicBo lies in its ability to give players a “sense of control” over the pace of the dice game, Mr Tang remarked. The supplier is also confident in the precision of the dice recognition process, thanks to the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology.
Additionally, he says, “we have done thousands of times of testing to see all the [dice] jumping and their strength, so as to avoid the dice actually sticking together.
“Previously we had the 42-millimetre [1.65-inch] dice; now we are using the 52-mm dice. The result is better, the bounce strength and visuals are also good,” he added.
