Gaming equipment supplier TCS John Huxley Ltd says it has been awarded a gaming-related vendor licence by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The United Kingdom-based firm said in a Wednesday press release: “This significant achievement marks a pivotal moment for the company, solidifying its position to operate and expand within the new UAE gaming market.”
The first confirmed casino project for the UAE is Wynn Al Marjan Island, in Ras Al Khaimah. It is a venture between Wynn Resorts Ltd and local partners, and might be completed in 2027, according to the promoters.
Tristan Sjöberg, executive chairman of TCS John Huxley, said in Wednesday’s update regarding the firm’s UAE licensing: “This is a testament to our long-standing commitment to compliance and innovation.
“The UAE represents a significant and exciting new market, and we look forward to a long and successful future doing business here, contributing to the development of a world-class gaming industry.”
At Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2025, a casino industry trade show and conference held last month in Macau, TCS John Huxley was an exhibitor, displaying products including its roulette-format “Velocity Auto Wheel”, said to feature “cutting-edge” automation and compatible with the group’s “Wheelmate” console.
The firm also exhibited its “Chipper Champ 3”, described as “the next generation” of chip-sorting equipment, and the company’s T-Connect” casino management system, which it said was “a vital tool” for venue operators.
So far, 11 gaming technology suppliers, including the Aristocrat group, International Game Technology Plc, and Novomatic AG, have already announced licensing for the UAE, under that federal nation’s GCGRA.
