Incheon casino resorts in South Korea step up concert offerings

Casino complexes Paradise City and Inspire Entertainment Resort – located near Incheon International Airport, South Korea’s main air hub serving the capital, Seoul – are each preparing a series of music events for the summer period.

Paradise City is hosting the Asian Pop Festival 2025 on June 21 and 22. The event is being promoted as “the only music festival held at a hotel resort in South Korea”.

The Asian Pop Festival was launched last year and, according to media reports, early-bird tickets made available in March have sold out.

Separately, Inspire has revealed its summer lineup for its Inspire Arena. “As the only resort in Korea with an arena, Inspire presents a true entertainment experience that integrates not just performances, but also various facilities within the resort itself,” it stated in a recent press release.

For the weekend of June 14 and 15, the property was slated to host Singapore’s JJ Lin, “a singer with a strong fanbase in China, Taiwan, and Singapore”, according to Inspire’s release. It will be his first concert in South Korea, Inspire noted.

On June 21, Inspire Arena will stage the 34th Seoul Music Awards, featuring a number of leading K-pop artists.

On July 5 and 6, South Korean boy band ATEEZ will kick off their new world tour at Inspire. On August 2, South Korean singer Lee Seung-chul will return to Inspire Arena, having performed there last summer. The following day, the group Huh Yong Byul will take the stage at the property.

In addition, Inspire Arena will host a large-scale e-sports event titled 2025 LCK Roadshow ‘T1 HOMEGROUND’, from July 25 to 27.

The property’s press release quoted entertainment director Hyunmyung Lee as saying: “For this summer, we have prepared entertainment content that spans all generations, from K-pop and e-sports to large-scale festivals.”

Entertainment is a major pillar for Inspire, property president Chen Si told GGRAsia in a recent interview. Following 60 shows that drew a combined audience of half a million people in 2024 – “60 percent of them international,” according to Mr Si – the resort is preparing more than 70 shows for this year. “We’re moving beyond K-pop – such as Hybe’s Weverse Con – to include J-pop, Mandopop, T1 eSports, and the World Table Tennis Championships,” he added.

Last month, Wade Howk, Inspire’s chief operating officer, provided some insight during a panel discussion at the Asian IR Summit regarding how the property’s management selects acts to support the gaming business.

Mr Howk noted at the time: “There are specific artists that I’m looking to book to draw the Japanese gaming customer. Same thing with the Chinese gaming customer. I have specific artists… that absolutely can draw in an entire arena.”
