The Innovation Group (TIG), a United States-based consultancy covering the gaming sector globally, has named Brian Wyman as its new president and chief executive, with effect from July 1.

Mr Wyman (pictured in a file photo), is currently executive vice president at the group.

He succeeds Michael Soll, who according to Monday’s update, will take a leadership role at a “responsible gaming research and education organisation”. Mr Soll will remain an advisor to The Innovation Group.

Mr Wyman was a moderator for several discussion panels – including one on the Asia-Pacific gaming machine market, and another on non-gaming entertainment at integrated resorts – during the recent concurrently-held Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2025 and the Asian IR Expo in Macau.

The departing Innovation Group CEO Mr Soll was cited as saying: “His [Mr Wyman’s] leadership in gaming operations, analytics, technology integration, and market expansion reflects the evolving needs of our industry and the broader hospitality sector.

“Brian has a rare ability to turn data into actionable strategy that has already reshaped how our clients operate.”

Mr Wyman joined the consultancy in 2016, and has a background in “operation strategy” and “advanced analytics”, the statement mentioned.

The consultancy also said Mr Wyman has been “critical” to the group’s work advising commercial and tribal casino operators in the U.S. on “emerging technology and regulatory shifts”.

Mr Wyman was cited as saying in the update: “I joined TIG a decade ago because of its incredible team, which has been the cornerstone of our success over the last 40 years and continues to grow in both number and talent.

“I’m proud to be leading it at such a pivotal time for our industry.”

Innovation Group partners Tom Zitt, Chris Irwin and Mike Vanaskie would continue to cover “feasibility analysis”, “strategic planning”, and “market forecasting”, the update noted.

Innovation Group senior vice president Kevin Dennis will lead international business from its newly-established Toronto, Ontario office in Canada, stated the announcement.
