The Wynn Employee (WE) Volunteer Team, affiliated with Macau-based casino operator Wynn Macau Ltd, held a sharing session on September 9 themed “Neighbourly Support and Community Care” to mark its 15th anniversary. The event featured representatives from various organisations sharing their community service experiences.
“By holding the sharing session, Wynn Macau Ltd hoped to further enhance the service quality of volunteers and benefit more people in the community,” the company said in a press release.
The event included a keynote speech by Chan Ka Leong, director-general of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM), a local grassroots organisation providing a wide range of community services. He discussed the work and achievements of UGAMM in community service and emphasised the role of community forces in building a harmonious society.
The overall sharing session initiative – spread across three days – attracted participation from over 600 Wynn Macau Ltd team members, according to the announcement.
Wynn Macau Ltd also invited UGAMM service centres to set up promotional booths in the back-of-house areas of the firm’s Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace properties, in order to introduce their services for the elderly, including the “Peng On Tung” tele-assistance service.

From July to September, Wynn Macau Ltd had already arranged for team members to attend various lifestyle-themed lectures at the UGAMM Ngai Chon Centre. The lectures covered topics such as yoga, parent-child cooking, eco-friendly workshops, mental health, retirement planning, parent-child relationships, and understanding elderly assistive devices.
In total, the lectures were attended by more than 2,000 participants, according to the company.
Founded in 2010, the WE Volunteer Team aims to give back to society and spread care by actively encouraging Wynn Macau Ltd employees to participate in a variety of volunteer services, as per the casino firm.
