Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd – a unit of Genting Singapore Ltd – has announced a partnership with global hospitality group Marriott International Inc to open Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Jurong. The new hotel – located off-site from the company’s casino complex Resorts World Sentosa – is expected to open in early 2026, according to a joint press release issued on Tuesday.

The new Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Jurong (pictured in an artist’s rendering) will be a rebranding of the existing Genting Hotel Jurong. The latter is located within the Jurong Gateway precinct of the Jurong Lake District, Singapore’s largest planned mixed-use business district outside the city centre, according to the release.

Earlier this month, Genting Singapore opened The Laurus hotel, part of The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts portfolio, at Resorts World Sentosa. The new hotel brand was also launched in partnership with Marriott International.

Tuesday’s press release quoted Gautam Bhandari, senior vice-president for hotel development and operations for Singapore and the Maldives at Marriott International, as saying: “We are pleased to collaborate once again with Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd as we continue to grow our presence in Singapore with the addition of Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Jurong.”

Andreas Oliver Reich, senior vice-president for hospitality general management at Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd, noted that the latest partnership with Marriott International would enhance accommodation offerings for business travellers.

He added, as quoted in the release: “Rebranding our property under the globally recognised Four Points by Sheraton brand elevates the hotel’s market positioning and enables us to better serve our guests with a strengthened identity.”

The non-gaming venue Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Jurong is to have an outdoor pool, an all-day restaurant, a fitness centre, and function space designed for corporate meetings and social events.

Genting Singapore offers an additional five hotel options at the Resorts World Sentosa complex, including the newly opened The Laurus, Crockfords Tower, Hotel Michael, Hotel Ora, Equarius Hotel, and Equarius Villas.

With the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Jurong, the firm will have a total inventory of more than 1,900 rooms, suites, and villas, the release said.

Genting Singapore is opening new attractions this year, as part of Resorts World Sentosa’s expansion, known as RWS 2.0.

The company’s board had approved a total investment of about SDG6.80 billion (US$5.28 billion currently) to upgrade and expand the casino complex.

A revamped retail area at Resorts World Sentosa, dubbed “WEAVE”, began opening in early July, while the Singapore Oceanarium opened to the public in late July.

The group opened a new themed zone, “Illumination’s Minion Land”, at Universal Studios Singapore on February 14.

In November last year, the company broke ground on a new waterfront development at the complex. Genting Singapore expects that expansion to be completed in 2030.
