Slot machine maker and digital content provider Aristocrat Leisure Ltd says its financial year to September 30 “marked the first full year of execution” of the group’s “refreshed sustainability strategy”.
Aristocrat chief executive and managing director, Trevor Croker, said in prepared remarks in a December 2 release that the group’s latest financial year “was a year of strategic execution and sustainable momentum”.
The information was part of the announcement of the publication of the company’s Sustainability Report for the 2025 financial year, based on the group’s four strategic sustainability pillars: Good Governance and Responsible Business; Empowering Safer Play; Operational Sustainability & Climate; and People & Community.
“This report reflects the pride we take in doing what’s right – protecting players, reducing our environmental footprint, and raising the bar on our commitment to strong governance and robust compliance standards,” stated Mr Croker.
The CEO said he was “pleased with the significant progress” that the company has made in relation to its “Empowering Safer Play” goals, “including updating our policy framework, establishing research partnerships, and expanding awareness activities across key stakeholder groups”.
Some of the achievements highlighted in the group’s Sustainability Report included expanding the ‘Flexi Play’ system to more than 11,000 electronic gaming machines in New South Wales, Australia; and establishing research partnerships with the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and the International Center for Responsible Gaming, also in Nevada in the United States.
The Aristocrat group had also been refining its ‘Know Your Max’ campaign, including via new player education videos and a dedicated website.
Aristocrat also said it transitioned to 100-percent renewable electricity for Aristocrat’s Australian head office, and supported 32 ‘Employee Impact Groups’ across the company.
Mr Trevor said that in addition to advancing the firm’s growth effort, Aristocrat “deepened the integration of sustainability” across its global operations, “reflecting our commitment to building a resilient, responsible, and inclusive business”.
The CEO added: “The launch of our Global Talent Centre of Excellence and the continued expansion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts are among many initiatives helping us to grow and unleash the talent we need to deliver on our full potential.”
