Casino games maker Konami Gaming Inc says it has deployed the first “Bomberman” slot games at the Graton Resort & Casino, in California, in the United States.
The slot title is featured in Konami Gaming’s new “Solstice” cabinet, the latter also debuting at Graton “before anywhere else in the world,” stated the gaming supplier in a Thursday press release.
Konami Gaming announced in October the launch of its “Solstice” cabinet with a new series of game titles. As per corporate information, the Solstice 49C features a “float-mounted, 49-inch C-curve display in 4K ultra high-definition”.
The new game titles include “All Aboard Diamond”, “Red Fortune Rail”, and a new slot series based on the Bomberman video game.
The Bomberman game series is based on one of the most representative pieces of intellectual property of the Konami group.
The parent firm is Japan’s Konami Group Corp, which runs business outside Japan via U.S.-based Konami Gaming and Konami Australia Pty Ltd.
“Bomberman Blast” and “Bomberman Boom” are the “first-ever slot games” based on the video game, stated Konami Gaming.
“The slot series features recognisable characters from the games, using classic Bomberman bombs to help burst open bonus prize opportunities,” the firm added.
The announcement cited John Eary, vice president of marketing at Konami Gaming, as saying: “For more than 40 years, Bomberman has broken down walls and taken players to new heights of adventure, and the world’s first slot games inspired by Bomberman are another example of his trailblazing pursuit of fun.”
He added: “The world premiere of Bomberman slots on Konami’s newest hardware machine is a milestone moment in our company’s growth.”
Brian Green, chief operating officer at Graton Resort & Casino, said in prepared remarks: “Bringing a retro icon like Bomberman to the casino floor is a powerful combination of nostalgia and pure adrenaline.” said.
Mr Green added: “Guests at Graton Resort & Casino are about to see just how explosive those classic video game moves can be when translated into jackpot power.”
The premiere featured popular YouTube personality Scott Richter, also known as “The Big Jackpot”, playing live as the casino officially unveiled the new Bomberman video slot machines, according to the release.
