Jeff Mann (pictured), a former chief executive of the Asian Poker Tour (APT), has died following an illness, it has been disclosed.
Mr Mann was for many years a familiar face at APT tournaments held at casinos across the Asia-Pacific region.
More recently, he had served as managing director of Philippine sports betting business MegaSportsWorld.
MegaSportsWorld is a trade name of Orient Capital Ventures Inc, a member of the privately-owned AsianLogic Group, according to the company’s website. AsianLogic is a former owner of the Asian Poker Tour.
The APT said in a social media post, that Mr Mann – who was its CEO from 2010 to 2022 – had, through his “passion, vision and leadership”, helped shape the business.
It added: “Our deepest condolences go out to Jeff’s family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.”
