The Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau holds its main event final on Sunday. The climax of the tournament – held at PokerStars LIVE Macau at the City of Dreams – marks the ninth season of APPT Macau.
The current edition APPT Macau started on May 20, with the opening five events drawing a combined total of 1,057 entrants and awarding a total of HKD4,272,365 (US$550,000) in prize money.
The main event, with a HKD25,000 buy-in, starts on Wednesday, May 27, at City of Dreams Macau, the flagship Macau casino resort of Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd.
On Friday, star poker players Phil Ivey, Stanley Choi and Johnny Chan played a charity game at Sands China Ltd’s Venetian Macao to launch a new Poker King Club there promoted by Macau VIP junket room investor Suncity Group Ltd.
