Aristocrat Tech new development chief, slot games

Aristocrat Technologies Inc has announced the appointment of slot game designer Allon Englman as its senior vice president of game development.

Aristocrat Technologies, a United States-based subsidiary of an Australian slot-machine maker, Aristocrat Leisure Ltd, says Mr Englman will head a design studio mainly creating content for the North American market. Mr Englman’s base will be the new Aristocrat Technologies campus in Las Vegas. He is due to start work next Monday.

Monday’s statement said Mr Englman was recently employed by Scientific Games. It quoted Aristocrat Technologies chief product officer Rich Schneider as saying: “Allon has a long history of leading creative teams known for developing highly innovative, industry-leading games that players love to play.”

Mr Schneider added that the new recruit’s “experience and vision” were an excellent fit for the Aristocrat brand.

Earlier this month, Aristocrat Leisure announced that Neil Chatfield, now a non-executive director, would replace Ian Blackburne as the chairman of Aristocrat Leisure on February 21 next year.
