Philippine-based casino operator Bloomberry Resorts Corp says its board has declared a special cash dividend of PHP 0.0847 (US$0.0014) per share, payable on April 3 to shareholders registered as of March 25.
Bloomberry Resorts built and runs Solaire Resort & Casino in the Philippine capital Manila, and Solaire Resort North, another gaming complex, in Quezon City, northeast of Manila.
The company also runs a small casino hotel – Jeju Sun – on the holiday island of Jeju in South Korea.
The company told the Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday that the dividend would come out of its unrestricted retained earnings as of December 31, 2024.
Bloomberry Resorts reported earlier this month annual net income attributable to its shareholders of PHP2.62 billion for full-year 2024, down 72.5 percent from the previous year.
That was on net revenues that rose 9.7 percent year-on-year, to PHP53.08 billion. Consolidated earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) were down 14.1 percent compared to 2023, at PHP16.60 billion.
