Epicentral 4.0 plus CyberMax for speedier player oversight

Oct 09, 2019 Newsdesk Latest News, Trends & Tech

Epicentral 4.0 plus CyberMax for speedier player oversight

TransAct Technologies Inc says Epicentral 4.0 – the latest version of its promotion and bonusing print system for managing casino slot players – will now have even greater capabilities thanks to a tie up with a fellow tech firm.

Epicentral 4.0 is set to debut at the 2019 edition of the Global Gaming Expo trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States this month.

Acres 4.0, a Nevada-based company, is making available its CyberMax product for use with Epicentral 4.0.

According to the Acres 4.0 website, CyberMax enables – among other things – per-spin reports of data from slot machines on a casino floor via the industry’s widely-used Slot Accounting System (SAS) protocol.

This is important, says Acres 4.0, because it allows casino operators to make decisions in real time about managing their players. Older floor management systems might not otherwise have the system computing power to make possible such swift analysis, it says.

Bart Shuldman, chairman and chief executive of TransAct, gave commentary in prepared remarks in a Tuesday press release, regarding the tie up between Epicentral 4.0 and CyberMax.

“While Epicentral has always delivered strong performance for our customers since its first implementation, one hurdle we have faced is the varied time delay between players’ real-time activity and the transmission of that player data from casino floor systems to Epicentral,” noted Mr Shuldman.

Such data was “critical to creating results-focused targeted promotions and bonuses made possible by our system,” he added.

“With CyberMax, there is now a way to overcome the limitations of existing slot floor systems that cannot send detailed information on player events and often take up to 15 minutes to send this information to Epicentral,” stated the TransAct CEO.

Noah Acres, vice president of marketing for Acres 4.0, was quoted saying in the same release: “We’re thrilled to partner with TransAct and their Epicentral 4.0 solution, which by using CyberMax, will be able to precisely deliver the right bonuses and promotions to the right player at the right time.”

Features fresh to Epicentral in its debuting 4.0 version include a new Web-based interface designed to improve the user’s experience.

The new Epicentral product also has a homepage dashboard offering an overview of past and present promotions running on the casino floor; a list of carded players actively playing on the floor; and a leaderboard of the top players with their number of active sessions. Epicentral 4.0 is also said to have a built-in query tool that allows users to find “specific and refined data”.
