G2E announces new team members

G2E announces new team members

Ed Several, senior vice president of Reed Exhibitions, has been named to lead all aspects of Global Gaming Expo (G2E). Additionally, Kevin McDonald has joined G2E as industry vice president, said the organisers in a press release.

G2E, a trade show and conference on the casino gaming sector, is presented annually in Las Vegas, Nevada, by the American Gaming Association (AGA), a U.S.-based lobbying and advocacy group working on behalf of the industry. The event is managed by Reed Exhibitions.

Mr Several has 11 years of senior event management, including work on the PGA (Professional Golf Association) Show and the National Hardware Show. He also has prior experience of gaming, having developed and marketed a keno-style racing game and multiple scratch lottery concepts in several U.S. states.

Mr McDonald has more than 15 years of experience as an event, sales and marketing executive for the entertainment, professional sports and casino gaming industries. He most recently led hotel and conference operations and special events at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona, Iowa.

“We’re excited about the renewed enthusiasm and excitement these gaming and event management professionals will bring to G2E in 2015 and beyond,” said Nancy Walsh, president, Reed Exhibitions North America.

Ron Rosenbaum, chief operating officer of the AGA added in a prepared statement: “We’re confident that the additions to the G2E leadership team, with their extensive industry experience, will help ensure that we provide significant value to AGA members, especially our manufacturers, and take G2E to the next level.”

Other appointments announced for G2E include Nancy Jo Hauck, who will head a new attraction called the Integrated Resort Experience, which makes its debut at G2E 2015. She has managed events for more than 15 years.

Ginger Curtis, who has more than 15 years of professional experience related to the gaming industry, will lead what the event organisers describe as the “G2E Conference and Key Attending Customer Strategy”.

Additionally, Todd Sheahan has been named group sales director for G2E. He joins Don Wells, a G2E veteran, who will continue to support G2E exhibitors as a customer sales specialist.

The G2E sales team has also welcomed to its ranks Charlie Pace from Reed U.K., and Tim Ross, a former financial services and retail executive. Both will work as customer sales specialists.

G2E’s management and its show partner, the AGA, have also selected Kirvin Doak Communications as the public relations, communications and marketing provider for G2E. The company is described as an award-winning Las Vegas-based agency specialising in gaming. Its client list includes MGM Resorts International; Miracle Mile Shops; the D Las Vegas (a casino-hotel formerly known as Fitzgerald’s, located in Downtown Las Vegas); The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas; and The Joint, a 4,000-seat showroom located inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

G2E 2015 will be held from September 29 to October 1, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
