The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2019 conference and trade exhibition for the casino gaming industry is likely to welcome an aggregate of 18,000 local and international visitors, said the event promoters.
G2E Asia 2019 started today, Tuesday, at the Venetian Macao casino resort, in Macau’s Cotai district. The three-day event is organised jointly by Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association.
The overall exhibition floor at this year’s edition of G2E Asia spans a total of 14,000 square metres (151,000 sq feet), featuring “nearly 200 exhibitors”, the organisers said in a press release issued on Tuesday.
“It will also welcome more than 18,000 visitors from all major gaming operators and integrated resorts in Asia and abroad,” the document stated.
Last year’s G2E Asia had set a new record in terms of attendance to the event, the organisers said at the time. The 2018 edition welcomed almost 16,400 visitors, according to Reed Exhibitions.
The official opening ceremony for G2E Asia 2019 took place on Tuesday morning. Attending the event was American Gaming Association president and chief executive Bill Miller. In his speech, he highlighted the commitment of the regulated casino industry to the promotion of responsible gambling and curbing illegal gambling and other related criminal activities.
“Cities and countries around the world welcome gaming into their communities because we have built a strong record of generating economic development, job creation and tax revenues for the communities in which we operated,” he added.
G2E Asia 2019 ends on Thursday.
