The programme for the upcoming Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2026 conference signals a continued shift in industry focus toward regulatory scrutiny, technological innovation, and market diversification across Asia’s gaming sector.

The casino trade show is set to take place at the Venetian Macao from May 12 to May 14 inclusive. The event is organised by RX (Reed Exhibitions), and presented by the American Gaming Association.

A portion of the conference is expected to address compliance and regulatory pressures facing operators. Topics include financial crime risks and broader compliance challenges tied to new technologies and environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations, reflecting intensifying oversight in a number of jurisdictions.

On the first day of the event, aside from a keynote speaker still to be announced, Praveen Choudhary, managing director at Morgan Stanley Asia, will present a white paper on “Asia Gaming Market Outlook”.

Mr Choudhary will also participate on a panel titled “Financial Outlook for Asia’s IR Boom” with George Choi, head of global gaming research and regional conglomerates at Citigroup.

There will be two other panels in the afternoon of the opening day. The first, focusing on emerging markets, will feature Brian Wyman, president and chief executive of The Innovation Group.

That will be followed by a discussion on “Marketplaces in Motion”, featuring Gregory Hawkins, president and chief operating officer (COO) of Philippines-based casino operator Bloomberry Resorts Corp; Walt Power, CEO of the Grand Ho Tram Resort in Vietnam; and Chen Si, COO of Resorts World Sentosa, a casino resort in Singapore run by Genting Singapore Ltd.

Technology-driven transformation remains another central theme, and will be the focus on the second day of G2E Asia.

Sessions will explore innovations in electronic gaming machines (EGMs), table games, and casino systems, highlighting how digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping both customer experience and backend operations.

In the morning of day two, discussion will focus on “How Technology Might Shape Gaming’s Future”, “Optimising The Casino Floor Mix” and “AI in Gaming” ; while the afternoon features a panel on “Global AI Governance Frameworks and Industry-based Ethical Norms”.

On the final day of G2E Asia 2026, a morning panel takes as its theme “Building on Global Experience: Creating the UAE’s Regulatory Future for Gambling and Betting”. United States-based Wynn Resorts Ltd is currently developing its Wynn Al Marjan Island project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Other panels on day three of the event are: “AI and its Use in Gambling and Beyond”; “Evolving Responsible Gambling Programmes in Asia”; “Financial Crime Prevention and Compliance: Innovations and Best Practices”; and “Strategic Outlook for Asian Land-Based Casino Markets: Innovation, Investment, and the Future of Premium Mass Market”.

The Asian IR Expo – focusing on non-gaming, including live entertainment, sports and hotel design at integrated resorts (IRs) – will take place during the same three-day period as G2E Asia 2026.
