Galaxy Arena, part of the casino resort complex Galaxy Macau Phase 3 in Macau’s Cotai district, has renewed a “strategic partnership” on a three-year basis with iQIYI, a mainland China-based provider of online video services and entertainment productions.
That is according to a Chinese-language update from the arena promoter, Macau gaming operator Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. The two sides are to “strengthen collaboration” in areas including the launch of “large-scale entertainment activities”, variety shows, films and dramas, said the Tuesday statement.
Galaxy Entertainment’s renewed tie with iQIYI was marked by a recent signing ceremony (pictured), attended by senior executives from the two sides.
The casino operator said that its past three-year collaboration with iQIYI has yielded “significant results”.
That has been exemplified by the Galaxy Arena’s hosting of the annual iQIYI entertainment show, “iQIYI Scream Night”, known for its awards ceremony for entertainment production and artists.
The two parties have also collaborated on a project, called “Love Between Fairy and Devil”, a virtual reality (VR) immersive-experience attraction at Galaxy Macau. The “Love Between Fairy and Devil” is a Chinese television series produced by iQIYI.
