Macau casino concessionaire Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd says “around 98 percent” of its employees will be entitled to a pay rise this year, effective from April 1.

“All eligible team members at senior manager grade and below will receive a salary increase effective from April 1, 2026,” the company stated in a Tuesday press release.

As per the announcement, eligible workers who joined the company before January 1 this year and earn a monthly base salary and guaranteed tips – if applicable – of MOP16,000 (US$1,992) or below, will be awarded “an increment of MOP500”.

“Team members with a monthly base salary and guaranteed tips – if applicable – above MOP16,000 will receive a 2-percent salary increase,” the casino firm added.

Galaxy Entertainment was the second of the city’s six casino operators to make a public announcement about a salary increase for 2026, following the Monday announcement by Sands China Ltd.

Last week, Galaxy Entertainment said it would be awarding a discretionary bonus – equivalent to one month of salary – to eligible staff members on February 9, for work done during 2025. The company said at the time that the bonus would cover “around 97 percent” of the group’s staff.
