Gaming Concepts, Jade Ent in SE Asia distribution deal

Feb 11, 2019 Newsdesk Industry Talk, Latest News, Philippines, Rest of Asia

Gaming Concepts, Jade Ent in SE Asia distribution deal

A long-term distribution deal has been struck between gaming and technology supplier Jade Entertainment and Gaming Technologies Inc, and casino management and furniture provider Gaming Concepts Group Ltd.

The deal, said to have been finalised last week, was announced by Gaming Concepts on Friday. The Hong Kong-based company issued a press release on Friday saying executives of the companies signed an agreement at ICE London, a business-to-business exhibition that ended on Thursday.

The deal will see Gaming Concepts – whose website says it specialises in equipment, furniture, management and consulting for casinos – work with Manila-based Jade Entertainment in Southeast Asia. Jade Entertainment sells and services slot machines, among other services.

Friday’s statement quoted Gaming Concepts chief executive Scott Feeney as saying his company has offered gaming services and products to Southeast Asian gaming businesses since 2011. “Having recently incorporated a new business in the Philippines, GCG Gaming Solutions, it was time to shore up the sales and service efforts. What better way than to partner with one of the most respected Philippine companies, Jade Gaming?” Mr Feeney said. “Together, we now have a comprehensive suite of services including everything from table games, electronic gaming, systems, furniture and pre-opening management services.”

The statement quoted Jade Gaming chief executive Joe Pisano as saying his company and Gaming Concepts have had communication for many years.

“We have already started working together on several large deals in the region,” Mr Pisano said. “With the combination of strong products, sales and technical teams, and several offices within the Philippines and other territories, we are very well positioned for the growth in the Philippines as well as Vietnam, Cambodia and Japan, amongst others.”

Jade Entertainment has previously worked with cash-handling technology and ticket printer supplier Japan Cash Machine Co Ltd. In 2017 JCM Global appointed Jade Entertainment as the firm’s distributor and authorised service centre in the Philippines. At that time, other products in Jade’s portfolio encompassed those from brands including Novomatic AG, payment kiosk specialist NRT Technology Corp and Walker Digital Table Systems LLC.

Jade Entertainment’s Mr Pisano told GGRAsia by email in response to our enquiry regarding the collaboration with Gaming Concepts: “As we don’t have any competing products, we will be sharing our sales leads with each other: this broadens the services both companies can offer their customers.”

He added: “It also extends our coverage. Jade is in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Macau and Siapan; and by end 2019 Australia. Gaming Concepts Group covers Cambodia, Laos and Nepal.”
