Galaxy Gaming Inc, a United States-based maker of electronic table games (EGTs), says industry veteran Gavin Isaacs has joined its board.
The company issued on Tuesday a written statement quoting Galaxy Gaming chairman Mark Lipparelli – a former chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board – saying: “Gavin brings a rare, broad set of skills to the Galaxy Gaming board, including his leadership roles, public company background, international reach and deep industry experience. Our shareholders will benefit a great deal from his contributions to the board’s efforts in setting the strategic direction of the company.”
The firm’s statement quoted Mr Isaacs as saying: “I am hopeful that my experience in gaming, especially my time in the table games business, and my experience in mergers and acquisitions will be helpful in driving Galaxy to the next level.”
Mr Isaacs has held a number of senior roles on the equipment-supplier side of the casino industry, including as president of slot machine maker Aristocrat Technologies Inc; as chief operating officer at the former Bally Technologies Inc; as chief executive at the former SHFL Entertainment Inc; and as president and chief executive of Scientific Games Corp.
Tuesday’s announcement from Galaxy Gaming said Mr Isaacs remains non-executive chairman of United Kingdom-based sports betting technology business SBTech, a position that he took at the start of the year.
