IGT showcases PlaySpot mobile software at G2E Asia

IGT showcases PlaySpot mobile software at G2E Asia

Global gaming and lottery supplier International Game Technology Plc (IGT) is to highlight the firm’s PlaySpot mobile software at this year’s edition of Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia.

The product (pictured) “enables casino operators to capitalise on the immense regional popularity of table games throughout Asia,” the firm said in a press release.

The PlaySpot mobile software solution gives players the option to place wagers on live roulette and baccarat games that are taking place on the casino floor, from their mobile devices, from any location within the casino, according to IGT. The technology “also enables operators to offer a variety of other popular casino entertainment options such as sports betting, virtual sports betting and casino gaming via their patron loyalty mobile apps,” the release stated.

IGT will also showcase at G2E Asia 2017 its Cardless Connect software, which the firm says enables players to use their smartphones to initiate patron loyalty sessions and transfer funds to and from their existing player accounts. The technology “eliminates the need for physical loyalty club cards and ticket-in-ticket-out tickets and can be embedded into a casino’s mobile app, or serve as a standalone app,” according to the release.

The Cardless Connect system enables casino operators to deploy advanced location-based, real-time mobile marketing, and can be paired with PlaySpot technology, said IGT.

“IGT has established a leading systems presence throughout Asia and we are building upon that positive momentum with regionally relevant innovations,” the firm’s chief executive for international, Walter Bugno, said in a statement included in the press release.

He added: “IGT’s G2E Asia 2017 portfolio is anchored in gaming innovations that enable our customers throughout Asia to engage players via multiple platforms, and reflect IGT’s position as our customers’ trusted growth partner.”

At G2E Asia 2017, IGT will also showcase its casino management system offering and its latest electronic game and cabinet portfolio.

G2E Asia 2017 takes place from May 16 to May 18 at Cotai Expo at the Venetian Macao casino resort.
