Inspire Entertainment Resort, a complex with foreigner-only casino at Incheon in South Korea, says it has launched a donation-linked package for its meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) customers, dubbed the ‘Inspire Green Bridge’. The initiative was launched in partnership with the child welfare organisation ChildFund Korea, as per a recent press release.
A signing ceremony was held on November 25, with the complex’s promoter saying it would cooperate with ChildFund Korea “to deliver donations for a sponsorship programme for local children”.
Attendees included Hanna Lee (pictured left), senior vice president of resort sales and marketing at Inspire, and Seoyoung Lee (pictured right), regional head of ChildFund Korea’s Incheon Branch.
The ‘Inspire Green Bridge package allows companies hosting MICE events at the complex “to contribute KRW10,000 [US$6.80] per hotel room reserved to a donation fund.
“MICE customers can take part in this charitable child support initiative simply by booking the necessary hotel rooms for their event,” stated the casino firm.
“The donation funds accrued through the operation of this package will be delivered via the ChildFund Korea Foundation to children and youth in need of support within the local community,” the company added.
The firm MICE clients had already begun taking part in the initiative, with KRW3.0 million in donations “accrued and soon to be distributed”.
The casino operator said that – via the initiative – it aims to “realise a ‘collective impact’ model, linking the resort, MICE corporate clients, ChildFund Korea, and child support programmes into a single framework, enabling diverse stakeholders to collaborate for social contribution”.
The announcement cited Ms Lee as saying: “We are delighted to collaborate with MICE clients and ChildFund Korea to implement an innovative model that connects social value creation to resort operations.”
She added: “We will provide practical support to local children and youth through the Inspire Green Bridge package, and moreover, will continue leveraging the resort’s unique characteristics to identify more opportunities to actively engage diverse stakeholders in social contributions.”
